Walking from Swan House
Swan House sits right on Offa's Dyke Path, in classic Marches country - rolling hills, quiet lanes, old roads and views into Wales from almost any high point in town.

Offa's Dyke Path - The great Marches long-distance path passes right through Kington, making Swan House a natural place to stop, start or break a journey. Whether you're walking the entire 177 miles or spending a couple of days on the Dyke, we'll be here when you get back.

The Mortimer Trail — Runs through some of the finest countryside around Kington, following a mixture of ridges, woodland, farmland and quiet lanes.
Hergest Ridge - Rises just outside Kington, with broad views across Herefordshire and into Wales. Particularly beautiful in changing weather.
Bradnor Hill - Rising above Kington, home to the highest golf course in England. Also a wonderful place to walk, with extensive views across the Marches.

You don't need to be walking a famous long-distance trail to enjoy the countryside here: quiet lanes, farm tracks, ridges, woods and paths lead out from Kington in almost every direction.
Walk all day, arrive in time for tea.
Kington, a small town worth staying for
Kington is a Herefordshire's smallest market town, but it has its own rhythm. A weekly market, independent shops, cafés, pubs and places to eat give it a life of its own, while the hills and countryside begin almost at the end of the High Street.
Throughout the year the town comes to life with craft markets, a Food Festival, Walking Festivals, Antique Markets, the Kington Show and the Vintage Fair.
